Is this made by the Condor Tactical gear brand? They make some good stuff for cheap.

www.americanknifeandsword.com/tactana-sword.htmlI like the specs. Shorter blade, but handle is still about the same length as a 'regular' katana. The sheath seems kinda cheap though. For $130, I would expect something a little better than a leather sheath.

I think the leather sheath is neat. Would convenient.

It would be nice if tac kats were made with a tapered tsuka so as to feel better.

I played with one recently, just dry handled (in public so no swinging...) did feel solid, did not feel balanced like you would hope. Overall seemed too heavy. ymmv

Looks like a flea market sword I picked up once for $25. Same handle material and all. Supposedly high carbon steel too but I use it for a decoration. Without the heat treatment and with typical wakizashi layout, would be better to gt a wak and change the tsuba and add a MOLLE type saya.

Have one, like it very much. Has a little more heft where the Hanwei or UC TacWaks are too light (for me!). VERY solid made, very good sheath. Good sharpness out of the box in my case, but that seems to vary; might need a little sharpening job.

This sounds beautiful to me. I love me a good heavy sword with much authority in the cut.
Where can a Canadian get one of these?

Be careful! I f you make statements that you like your swords HEAVY you will be marked for LIFE as a H.U.S.C. (Historically Uncorrect Sword Collector)!!!
Many ebay shops carry it; do a little search...usually around 130 bucks in the US!

I think at this point in my life, I am ready to be that guy. I'm not a fan of these flimsy duelling weapons, after owning a few. I like authority and something that won't break if used improperly. I'm more worried bout being attacked by a zombie then a martial artist  . Sadly I can't find these swords on eBay
