I've never dealt with them personally but they have been around for quite a few years now, the swords they stock/custom is made by Chris Zhou 'Zhou Zheng Wu'. Their prices are very high 5k + for most pieces and reaching beyond 20K, Chris Zhou is one of if not the most famous Chinese smith there is. Look at the 'Masters of Fire' exhibition, Chris Zhou Han Jian won first prize and that's no easy feat considering the contest included many masters smiths worldwide.

Wow, 5k plus. I want a tang dao or tang jian with rayskin in a hundreds price range. All that stuff is folded DH though so I guess it makes sense.

The prices is stated on their site, a simple Google currency conversion would give you a good estimate of the asking price. It's not that these are expensive because of folded or DH, it's expensive because Chris Zhou is a celebrity in China plus internationally.
There are many other forges that can make similar products for much less, for Tang Jian/dao go with Jin-Shi or the many other Chinese forges.

Zhi Forge makes one much like it, for about $700,I think. Review here: sbgswordforum.proboards.com/thread/8395O.P. calls it Kazari Tachi, Zhi calls it Tang Dao. Has been on my list for a long time now. O.P. bought it through Ronin for a lot more, if I am not mistaken, but I am quite sure the Zhi Forge one is the same and Ronin sourced it there.

I'm not up to date with the quality of Zheng Wu swords these days but 6-7 years back there were some issues with his swords as they were first becoming known to the west. It was a bit of hit and miss if you got a good 1 it seemed.
Assembly problems and bad heat treatment on some' (not all) swords from his forge, were the main issues. To be fair it was probably more of a QC malfunction than anything.
Would not pay big money for one these days when there are more reliable swords to choose from now in terms of the past issues mentioned above.

I agree Tonym, I do recall those issues but I'm not certain it was pieces made by ZhengWu himself or his apprentices. I remember Kenneth tried to address some of these issues when he was at the forge, since then I haven't heard anything about ZhengWu blades failing or such. ZhengWu did have an offshoot forge a while ago ran by Kenneth 'Qing Zhong' i think? anywho I believe Sifu Scott Rodell tested quite a few ZhengWu/Qing Zhong pieces dating back to 2006/09. Here's his web-site, not much available there at the moment except the more expensive Han and Tang style swords. www.zhengwu-swords.com/

I'm Belgium and I've been looking for a nice Chinese blade since 2 years. It seems that there were/ are many fake Zhengwu swords on internet and that's why I didn't get one though I really appreciated his works. One of my friends has a Katana from his French retailer, he told me that the blade is really powerful.

Yes, they are in Longquan. This is Zhou Zhengwu's Chinese website. I tried to deal with them, but they only sell in China.
