I took it to a machine shop and paid them 65$ to mill the tang slots. I dont have a drill press or any way to do it myself.

The cross is 1018 Mild steel and was ground from a solid block of steel by me. I used an angle grinder to cut out the rough shape, then ground it to final dimensions.

That's a nice looking dagger. I really like the shape. The guard is well fitted and looks nice attached. The blade shape is really different then most daggers. It kind of reminds me of a Windlass dagger, I believe it was called a Swordsman's dagger? I bet its tough as nails.

A blade that wide and beefy screams to me to be made into a sword breaker. Any thought as to making a similar one sans the fullers and with the hooks in the back edge and the loop on the guard? The shape and size would make for a perfectly wicked sword breaker. But then again, I love sword breakers and there aren't many out there.
Very nice work though. Each blade I see from you is showing lots of growth and progress. Keep up the good work.

this particular piece is inspired by an Odinblade i saw, it was a simmilar size and blade shape, but had wider double fullers, i went with tripple fullers to match a sword ill be making in the future. Im not fammilliar with the Windlass Swordsmans Dagger

"My God, it's full of stars!"... Seriously though, that's a star you're holding in your hands. You did a magnificent job with the dagger.
