Thanks for the suggestion... the info about the pot metal hilt/tang was taken from another SBGer who also did a review on a similar Glamdring before I did mine. I'll take it apart eventually, and also give it a nice appleseed edge once I do (blunt at the moment). It would be a shame just to have it as a wall hanger.
Back on topic though, I'm really stoked to see your final version of the dagger and sword.

thats not a dagger its a short sword  looks good, how did you prevent the fullers from becoming slits in the blade? since its hard to judge depth on this kind of thing

Did you get rid of the hexagonal geometry?

Nope, the geometry is hexagonal all the way to the fuller termination, and then smoothly transitions into a diamond cross section at the tip

That looks great! Your pommel and guard are really sharp. How do you key your pommels? The one and only pommel I ever made I keyed it by drilling holes through using a drill press, and then a nightmare of "grinding" out the slot with a carbide dremel cutter and hand files. I still have nightmares of that weeeeeeeeerrrrrzzzzzzzz sound. I got it keyed but it was not as clean as if it were properly machined, and there is a good chance i will never do that again.
