I really like the look if this sword very Jody Samson ish. But how does it compare to the verrimus and the atrim two handed falchion in cutting and handling?

It is heavier and has MUCH more blade presence then either the Falchion or The Verimus. If I were fighting a Duel, I would pick the Falchin first, the Verimus second, and this Silvia lastly if those three were my choices. However, if I were whacking slow moving Zombies... I'd pick in the reverse. The Silvia is really a chopping/cutting monster... but its not a nimble fast fighting sword.

Glad i ordered mine "with" a fuller. You have mentioned its weight quite a few times so i guess every oz will help. Perhaps I should also go for the etching to get a few oz

The Silvia Ringare that this sword is based on had some BEAUTIFUL etching... I wish I could have afforded to do something like that.
The Silvia is weighty... but its VERY manageable. You can see in the vid I do a one handed cut. Its no dainty fencing weapon to be sure... but the size and balance of the sword work well with its weight. Its a chopper, but the best one I've ever used.

Just a little FYI I just made one of these with no fuller and it weighs less than this one here. It is all in the geometry and distal not only in whether fuller or etching is used. Doing a whole bunch of these crazy Silvia's and it's a freakin blast:) Me an James gonna keep one, gonna lead him in to the shallows, gonna lead him in gonna drown him!

You gonna sink the longship captain? Sounds like a nymph to me! A nymph with a sword, now that makes it the Excalibur....
