A little something for the guy with deep pockets

It's no secret that I like folding knives; and my preference runs toward the larger side of common, with blades in the 3.5 inch range. Here are a few that I carry often (obviously, some have seen more use than others).
from left to right:
Benchmade (Osborne) Barrage
Benchmade Rift
Boker Gemini
Kershaw Shallot
The Shallot is thinnest in hand, the Barrage the fullest...but the blade size is fairly comparable between all four. They're a competitive group, though they aren't obnoxious about it. That's where this knife comes into the picture.
This is the knife for people that use the sayings: Size matters. Go big or go home. If you can't run with the big dogs... (you get the idea)
Enter the Zero Tolerance 0300
Holy crap, this thing is big
Here's a side by side with my HEFT4
Much as I hate to say it, the 0300 might be just a little too big. The pictures don't tell the full story, either. The ZT0300 tips the scale at a whopping 8.2 oz (232g)...while the Barrage was only 5.3 oz (150g). That doesn't bother me all that much; but the bulk of the thing makes it a little awkward to open with the thumbstud (because the flipper tends to catch/drag a little, which can prevent full deployment of the blade).
Still, it's S30V; and, even used, it is sharp, sharp, SHARP. I like it; but I think it will find itself in my jacket pocket, or in my pack.
The black finish is holding up pretty well; but, to be honest, I would have preferred the newer "blackwash"...except the price on that version hasn't even thought about coming down yet. I'd pay $25 more for it without a second thought - maybe even $40, if I was in the right mood; but I just couldn't justify the $122 difference since I got this one barely used. (Maybe ZT will release that finish on a slightly smaller model)
