The above YouTube video documentary was submitted by John (jdk) on another forum. I want to share it with you all because it is a really good one full of interesting facts.

Jeebus, it's an hour long. Might have to save it for later, but I'll see how far I get before dinner.

"Bravest of the brave, most generous of generous, never had a country more faithful friends than you".
They're not really mercenaries. 'Mercenaries' is a dirty word. They're British soldiers through and through. They may have lost some battalions to the amalgamation, but the Royal Gurkha Rifles (my sister regiment) are as strong today as they ever were.

Amen. May God always bless them especially in these difficult economic times.

Finally managed to see the whole thing. Fantastic documentary.
Seeing Lachihiman Gurung was, admittedly, a fairly emotional part. I've read of the man before, and was stricken by how small and feeble he looked. When his son hoisted him up on his back, that was a tough scene for me.
Hell of a group, these guys. I'm glad they're on our side. I just wish more could be done to make their conditions a bit better.

Well said Chris.
Same thoughts here, though that's all I can say otherwise I'll be diving head long into a political rant.
