Hey everyone, I'm new here so I hope I posted this in the right spot.. I recently bought a Ronin Dojo Pro katana. I untied the sageo which was tied in a fancy knot and it seems that the dye from the sageo has rubbed off onto the saya. This wouldn't normally be a problem but the top section of the saya is white (model #006). I tried to scrub off the marks with paper towel and multi-purpose cleaner/spray 'n' wipe, but it had no effect. Is there anything I can try that won't ruin the finish on the saya? Thanks, Zak.

You can try some rubbing compound that you'd use on a car or some mothers metal polish. Possibly even some toothpaste and a damp cloth could remove it if it's not in too deep.

To get back to shiny-bright use good car polish, the coat on the saya is paint after all is said and done

Pretty common issue, what I use is an auto scratch removal polish, basically as Frank suggested a rubbing compound. I think what I have now I got a Walmart, it's called scratch X by Meguiars, works great, on my car and saya.
I generally do the whole saya to get an even sheen. Then I follow with a good auto wax.
