It's 18. 1/8" overall and weighs 31.5 oz. The blade is 1095 spring steel 12. 7/8" X 1. 13/16" X 1/4" thick (3/8" at the blade catchers) The guard, bolster, blade catchers and pommel sides are 1018 steel WELDED to the full tang. The handle is 5" long with scales of Curly Maple. The sheath is 10 oz. leather with black steel rivets and a black steel snap. There's an attachment point on the back for adding leg ties etc. It's cemented at the spacer and hand stitched using doubled waxed nylon saddle stitching thread making for an extremely rugged, rough use sheath. The rough beveled blade is reheated in the forge to glowing red and quenched in strained used motor oil. After it's cleaned of slag it's brought back up in temp. until it can be struck with a file. I leave the file marks showing. I like a handmade knife to look handmade. This is how I harden / tempor my blades. They hold an edge extremely well. Thanks for looking, Mike

Mike: I have a knife of yours with a 10 1/2 inch blade, 1 1/2 inch choil , 1/4 inch guard and 5 1/4 inch handle-17 1/2 overall. 1/4 inch thick. I love it; it is one of my top 10 or so favorites in a 250+ knife collection which includes at least 8 custom knives. The somewhat unfinished look is great; a real working knife, I don't know what it would take to destroy it. The sheath is as sturdy in it's own way. I am VERY bad at posting pics  , but I wanted to post what I could because you do some special work.

That thing's a brute, and I mean that in the best possible way.
And this is your first post? You need some karma.

That thread was the first thing i thought of when looking at this big brutish bastard. Very nice indeed. If that thing is as sturdy as it looks, I'd hate to know what it would take to destroy it too!
