I finally got around to introducing myself

Hi,

It took me half a year to even notice the "Welcome Wagon" thread.
I decided that I'll introduce myself as soon as I have the time.
It took a few months, but finally I got myself to do this.
I'm pretty useless when it comes to internet stuff,
It also took me half a year to realize there was a Private Message function.
Sorry if I didn't answer some of your PMs.
It's not that I meant to be rude, I'm just being left behind from modern communication technology.
Then to the actual matter.

By profession, I am a visual artist specialized in sculpting.
I was born in the mid eighties...

I have studied some martial arts (jujutsu, karate, taido) few years back.
I've practiced archery and the use of the sword,
but the towns I've lived in never had active archery or sword schools.

I'm from Finland. The land where no store sells mekugis!

I'm interested in everything related to swords.
Even though I've learned the basics with katana, my interests are not restricted to it.
You might have noticed that my customizations with Japanese swords are quite unorthodox.
I have great respect to traditional ways,
but when it comes to my swords I try to find the most suitable solution to my use.

My main interests are: the use of the sword generally, cutting and customizing.
I'm also planning to start making tsubas.
If I had better pay, I'd add sword collecting to the list.

Next I'm planning to purchase an European medieval sword,
something like "Albion squire line 13th C Knightly".
Although a similar sword from Windlass would probably suit my budget better...
