Beats a full armor though. I was planning to make it "Rattle proof" whenever I get it.

It is a double edge katana. The second edge goes about 2/3rds down the blade.

Lmao, it is OK. They are not well known, and some regard it as a lost/forgotten sword art. I just want one because they are unique.

To answer the question, I believe that armored sleeve is called a kote, the design itself is very anime-ized..... but it still seems like it would be fairly functional... you might have to modify the elbow though..... If i was making it, I'd go with more of the llamellar style of armor, and cross reference it with set of jackchains for the elbow... www.cashanwei.com/product_details.asp?id=AB0087

I have them on my armor. You can make them yourself easy with some thick leather and rivets. Here is my armor before I dyed it. Initially I had the pauldrons strapped around my arm, but this limited mobility. So I cut the strap and they just sit free on my shoulders. The slight curve keeps them from flopping up. These babies have saved my shoulders from a lot of pain. I have taken some hard shots on the shoulder. If you go too far down the arm it interferes your arm motion. Better to protect the upper arm with an attachment from your elbow.

If you wanted quite, you should have used boiled leather. No matter how much you try and quite steel versions of that, it just won't work. Either it will be too bulky and get in your way, or make too much noise. You do realize that putting on a plate arm will make less noise then that contraption right?
