BTW, just FYI, Paul's test on SBG swords, have outperformed many locally-sold Chinese-made swords. In fact, his videos are some of the materials I often showed to the other Chinese makers and get them awed. :P I enjoy shocking them with swords that performed way over their capabilities.

Jeff ... That's enough of the nastiness . If we want to keep beating this dead horse we will do so politely .
K120c is made in Japan , under Swedish license .

For whatever it worth, China does import steel from US (especially scrap metal)... so it's possible to have american steel in China (and 1095, etc is part of junkyard steel - www.wrtcleather.com/1-ckd/junkyard.jpg) "But there are other differences, too. China produces little scrap metal for its size, because its people have yet to throw away the first generation of cars and washing machines they’ve been buying since the 1990s. That’s why the country is only going to start building “mini-mills” that make steel from scrap in a few years, and why the U.S. annually exports billions of dollars of scrap steel. (Think: steel from 1960s VW Beetles, 1970s Ford Pintos, 1980s Hoover washing machines, all of it shredded and boxed to China.)" source : blogs.wsj.com/corporate-intellig ... oks-ahead/

Yes. K120C is made in Japan, not Sweden: www.cashanwei.com/resource/product-faqs/316Hence, my comment about someone needing geography lessons. That said, you are right, Marc. Although I was just having a bit of fun with him, it is better not to say things which may be perceived as being insulting. My apologies to L Driggers. Hope you were not insulted. All in good fun.

Well if it made in Japan that's even closer. Car bodies, frames, even the springs aren't 1095 steel. The springs are 5160 the bodies mild steel, Newer coil springs are an alloy.
