i would love to give it a try with my Cold Steel Katana Machete. It seem to like to cut hard targets like meat, wood and stuff like better then jiggly things like 1 gallon hawaiian punch jug(those things damge arrows, break blade, and are hard to cut).

these 5 gallon jugs are 2-3 times as thick and hard as those hawaiian punch jugs. use caution when cutting them if you think your blade wont hold up.

the cold steel can take any thing i want to cut(it's just about unbreakable). My Burmese Dha with it's thinner blade got bent by the hawaiian punch jugs(which is odd cause cut i cut tree limbs all the time with that sword).

thats concerning if it bent, it must have a poor heat treat, a properly heat treated sword will flex and snap back. ive had some of my knives bent in a vice clear up to 70* and still snap back top true.

you could be right or are right . It was only a small bent(i strighted it out over knee) and it was maybe 10-20*. I have kept useing it and it has chopped up to 1 and half inch wood tree peg and i use it for tree limb cutting all the time and it has never bent yeah. the only time it bent was on those jug. I even just a few weeks ago spear tossed it to see if it could do tr(it did).

Tree limbs are easy, live wood is soft, not hard. Its not very taxing on a blade. It does not surprise me at all the blade cuts limbs but bent on those jugs.
