Help PLEASE! Can someone give me step-by-step instructions on how to insert photos into my Sword Review text? I want to do a Sword Review (of my katana) but I do not know how to put pictures (from my digital camera that is now on my PC as JPEG images) into the body of my text writeup. Any help is most appreciated! Thanks! Robert in California. [][/img]

This post gives a quick description /thread/18754You will need to have an account with a photo storage website like photobucket.com or imageshack.com once signed up you will be able to upload your jpeg files to these sites and from there you will be given a code for each of your pictures which you could then insert using the img button found above the text box. You could also use the upload attachment button found under the text box which allows you to insert a pic straight from your files but I think it has a limit to how many you can insert. Here is what the photobucket page would look like once you've uploaded your pics to an album and then you would click to highlight and then right click copy the info in "direct" that info looks like this (extra spaces for example only) h tt p:// i815.p hotobucket.com/a lbums/zz71/fra nkthebuny/pho tobucket_zps59335 2b2.jpg and it would go in between the image brackets (using the img button in the forum text box) [ img][ img] so it would look something like this but when you publish the post it will be seen as an image without the brackets and url text like this because there is a full image issue on this forum you will have to open the images in another tab to see them full size and this is why my demonstration pics seem cut off on the right side. you can resize your images via a photo program on your pc or on the hosting site so they fit here without loosing anything but they will be too small to see detail sometimes. Edit - good point Bluntsword, lol here are a couple of vids on the subject

Nice clear instructions, with pics to boot. That's why your a great mentor Frank.
Robert, if you google: "how to upload images to a forum?" there will be plenty of instructions and how to's. If you do the same in Youtube there's a few good videos that show's you how step by step as well. Happy hunting. Can't wait to read your review.

The picture situation is a pain in the ass on the forum. I resize in photobucket and still do not get all of them to post well.

Same here. Either we have to buy shorter swords, or stand off about 10 feet :-)
No, seriously folks, my (above) Wang-Katana2011 JP02 katana pic cut off the same as yours. So I rotated the pic so hilt up and point down to get it all in...see top katana pic.
