Alright, I dig Zombie tools blades. I own 2 of 'em and plan to pick up a couple more. But apparently there people who REALLY love ZT. They have a new Xiphos out and decided to sell the first three on ebay in consecutive auctions. They are going to have the greek word xiphos engraved on 'em and will probably be numbered. Otherwise they are just like all the rest will be. The first one has been up for under a day and a half of a three day listing. Well, see it here: www.ebay.com/itm/271228894358

Yeah, I looked up the auction yesterday - probably over 24 hrs ago - and it was at $660. I do like that model...but I wouldn't mind waiting 3 months to save $200+. To be honest, I dislike engravings (runes, or otherwise) on swords; so I'm glad to hear that's not going to be on the regular production run.

Just like the doof that paid $1600 for the wall hanger Jon Snow (Game of Thrones) blade
Cool looking blade, not $800 worth of cool though!

Well see I had to buy a pair for myself because the size and weight are almost identical to the swords of lancelot in the 2004 King Arthur movie which I love and I had an $800 Zombie tools gift card I got for my birthday so the decision was sorta made for me lmao ;-) but no I agree not worth 800 for one but well worth 449 for one its a really great sword and Zt does a great job

looks pretty good. If I had the money I would get two of them and to dual weild. Nice to see they are making more two edged blade designs. Would be nice if they thought about doing something in the lines of a rapier style blade, or a longsword.
I wonder how they are going to market their blades a few years from now when the whole Zombie apocalypse fad wears off.

The problem with longer blades lies in the tac build. You just can't really make a proper longsword using the one-piece-design. In order to function as intended, a longsword needs a long guard. Besides, I'm not sure the ZT guys get the harmonic balance stuff right and the longer the sword, the more important correct weight distribution gets. As of now, even their short pieces often seem too heavy, more machete/big knife like rather than like a sword.

You have a point, the only one so far that came close to feeling like a sword was the ferrous wolf viking sword, and even that is pretty heavy (but why I like it). Maybe they could do a design similar to the wolf sword just with a longer grip and longer wider guard and I think it would work. similar to the valiant armory zombie sword, just not as plain.
