I'm in the green shirt, yes.
We really didn't get much(a lot of what we did get is us farting around with the camera, and there was some other not-adam sparring), but I'm hoping to get more this coming weekend.

You opponent created several openings that he didn't exploit. Like to see more.

That last parry seemed so relaxed and involuntary.....very smooth. I liked the slow-mo uuuuuaaaaaggghhhhh! right in the middle of the clip. How do those wooden long swords stand up? I have been using red oak katanas and they dont stand up too well, especially the tips and the plastic tsubas (although, none of my opponents are interested in technique...they just swing for the fences, as it were).....i'd really like to get something with a cross guard as im only really interested in getting into Western styles (german long sword, sword and buckler...). No offence to any practitioners of Eastern styles here....just not my cup 'o tea is all.

The wasters we use to spar are Newstirlingarms and made of hickory. The guards are a 3 piece laminate, as are the pommels and grips. They last and last and last.
The first one I got is still good(though it's dried out and is splintering a bit despite my most careful efforts to sand it down and oil it) after over 4 years of good heavy use(read: drilling meisterhau and basic cuts on the pell over 1000 swings a day as well as drilling and sparring with a partner).
That being said, we have broken a couple of them.
Red oak is garbage when it comes to bokken btw. You can get a really nice white oak bokken from any number of online retailers for around $40.

Thanks for the link. Those two handers are pricey little buggers ain't they? If I decide to buy I'll get one of each, Ron Hall and the Claymore...but steel sounds like more fun.
