It has been mentioned on this site that Albion is busy making swords for a new movie. There has been no mention of that movie other than that, so I decided to change that. Here ya go: www.reclaimingtheblade.com/

actually, that's not the movie they are making swords for. It's a swedish film, I believe the name was something like "Arn." Mike Sigman told it to me when I ordered my ritter.

well then they're making swords for both movies then. I'm positive they're supplying weapons for this film.

I don't know about the one Rammstein mentioned, but I'm sure they're doing swords for Reclaiming. With a pic of the Landgraf, a link to Albion's site, and a win-an-Albion contest on the movie's website, I think it's safe to say that Albion is involved with the project. ;D BTW, John Rhys Davies is awesome! An excellent choice for narrator!

Oh don't get me wrong, I know they were supplying swords for that movie, but I think they've already finished supplying it, because that's not what is delaying orders. You're right, it says reclaiming the blade out on their site. "Arn" seems to be a far less known deal that they very recently took up.

I'm sure that's the case, as it says that Reclaiming the Swordis in post production, which means they're just editing, adding effects, etc.

from a pm I got on myarmoury from another (annonymous) forumite:
"I wanted to reply to your post in the "Holiday Acquisitions" thread, but I didn't know if I should be posting this in the forum, hence the PM. I was at Albion late last year to just check out some swords (I live pretty close by) and Mike mentioned that they were extremely swamped at the time. They had just recently been offered a job as armorers for a movie, which he wouldn't name, and the number of swords they had to get done asap was pretty significant. I think that's what derailed their regular production, and why your order is going to take so long. Mike even mentioned to me that they were concerned about how customers would react to the delays, but that the movie deal was something too big for them to pass up.
Hopefully that helps you feel a little better about the delay."

I remember you saying elsewhere that you have something like a 16 week wait ahead of you. Yikes! On the plus side, a major project like this for a small company like Albion is a huge boost as far as revenue and advertising, so it will help ensure that they continue to thrive (and, hence, continue to make swords ).

Hey I have no complaints about that wait makes me feel like I'm getting some custom made wonder that there is only 100 of them in the world...oh snap! There ARE only 100 of them in the world, would ya look at that... But those weeks are whittling down, slowly but steadily. Just you wait trees....just you bloody wait. remember that yard you saw in my Sword of War review...? Don't get used to it....Won't be there for long ;D ;D ;D
