Hello again, SBG. My DT5143's edges, as stated before in my review, are rather sub-par, and need to be sharpened to cut properly. I am looking for a service that will properly sharpen my sword in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. I am asking this because I would rather not damage my first sharp sword, and I've never sharpened anything with sandpaper, a file, belt grinder, or a whetstone. Thanks!

Anyone have any suggestions? Sorry, I just really want to get this sword sharp without fear of damaging it...

read this: www.swordforum.com/forums/showth ... or-Cutting and maybe contact Mike Edelson - he lives somewhere in upstate NY. He may not be willing to sharpen for you, but he has certainly coached others in sharpening their swords on a regular basis.
