I'm looking for pictures of the tang of a 1945 pattern Japanese NCO sword. The one with the checkered wood grip. A quick Bing search didn't turn anything up. There are some pics of officer's guntos and the metal handled NCO swords taken apart, but I haven't found a picture of the wood gripped version in pieces.
Any leads?

In 1945, the NCO sword was changed to a simple wooden hilt with incised cross-hatching (no same' or ito) and plain, black painted iron mounts and a light brown to tan metal scabbard. Blades in these mounts are ALL machine made. more info here japaneseswordindex.com/military.htm
