Hi Too All!! I am hoping that someone on this site can help me. My son has been wanting The Halo 3 Covenant Energy Sword from the first time he saw it. Unfortunately Master Replicas stopped the manufacturing of this sword before it was available to the public. What I am wondering is if anyone out there knows of someone who has made this sword themselves? We have found some online who show how to make it, but we do not have the materials or molds.I realize that the rights to it are owned by Master Replicas/Corgi....I was just hoping someone out there could possibly make him one privately? Any help you can provide is appreciated Thanks...Blackhalo

Thank-you for your response...but its actually not the Titanium sword we are looking for, its the "light up" energy sword that we want....

Honestly, this forum probably is not your best bet for something of this nature. Try the Replica Prop Forum ( www.therpf.com/); it's an entire community dedicated to props from movies, television shows and video games. You are more likely to receive the info you need there.

Your not going to get an actual energy sword... they don't exist. The light up replicas that were out there for a while pretty much sucked too and I have not seen them for a while. And, I don't think any kid can resist playing with one or at least swinging it around a bit to show it off to friends. While the 440 stainless steel ones do not come with an edge put on them, They can be extremely dangerous (mainly to the user). The way they are made is just fail for anything but a wall piece that you look at only. Imagine two saw blades cut to shape and held in place by the shell of a cheap box cutter. That's about the quality, and with all the behavioral problems you'd expect. I have handled two of these things. They have a wicked back lash and can torque your wrist from the way the blades wiggle and twist independent of each other... Your best is to build your own. And not out of metal. Get some cheap components at some site like this one: www.flashingblinkylights.com/lightswords-c-114_346.html?gclid=CPTT97rbtbcCFUThQgodskAA8g And some plex-glass and the hard ware you'll need from your local hard ware store and build one. You can probably make one that is better and cooler then anything you would buy online for a lot less money. Also there are 5 main styles, so check out the differences in the design to make sure your talking about the one from halo 3 and not perhaps the one from reach, 4, 2, or evolved.
