So im a huge fan of the art of Frank Frazetta. All of his art not just his oil paintings. But I'm curious has he ever done any sketches of swords. His amazing art is full of weapons and swords like in his Conan paintings, bloodstone, bran mak morn, and against the gods to name a few. But I'm trying to find any close up sketches. Something that could possibly be brought to life by a sword maker like brenno. Has anyone ever seen any? Thanks guys.

Frazetta is indeed the man, no question about that. Can't say I have ever seen any sword specific sketches or one brought to life by a maker. I have seen the Death Dealer helmet made and the ax. I forget where I saw them though.

No specific sketches of just swords. Many of his sketches turned into paintings display swords, knives, axes and the occasional ray gun but I've not seen any just of a weapon.
When the Frazetta Museum was in East Stroudsburg Pa., I had a chance to visit. That was about 20 years ago. Been a big fan of his work since the 60s.

I was gonna go a few years ago. But two weeks before I planned to visit Franks wife Allie past away then himself not to long after. Then the fight over his paintings. So the museum close just before I was gonna go and I haven't heard of it reopenning. It was a chance to see something I've dreamed of since I was little. Then having it slip through my fingers. When it was so close.

Yeah, after Frank passed, things got really weird. There was the family squabble over the paintings, which had a break in by a family member with a bulldozer or back hoe.
A real shame but there will most likely never be a museum of the same caliber of his work again.

I don't get why after the family settles the court case. Why the museum can be reopened.

I'm a huge Frazetta fan, his work has been an influence on me since I first saw "Warlord of Mars." I highly recommend anyone get the Fire and Ice special edition DVD. It's a campy animated film, but Frazetta did a lot of the background paintings for it and there's a great documentary about him and his work in the special features.
I'm a fan of the Frazetta fanclub on facebook that is supposedly run by some of his family members and according to them the Frazetta Museum will be reopening soon.

I also hear that Robert Rodriguez might remake fire and ice. In the style of sin city and 300.

I didn't know there was a special edition DVD, I might have to check that out. Fire and Ice is a bit campy, but its also pretty awesome. A couple fight scenes in that movie are CLASSIC.
