i had a customer send me his Screen used SOT stunt sword.. made of fiberglass, he wanted to see if i could make a mold of the guard and pommel and make him a real world sword with a live blade.
i made a 2 part mold of the handle, guard and pommel and made wax casting of the parts.. the handle i cut and tossed as i went a differant path...
the guard i fitted to a blade that was given to me by Brandt Noel of Crushing Forge, i dont have the specs off the top of my head but it was made here in the US (i try and keep all fantasy blades US made)
the guard and pommel were cast in silicon bronxe, the guard needed a bunch of clean up but i think it came out nice. the handle i cast in resin backed with fiberglass and carbon fiber, and was fitted to the tang.
