Mmmm... love me some shobu Very Braveheart sort of thing to go whacking at last year's bamboo knowing you had a cracked tsuka on board... perhaps above and beyond the call of duty for a review. They should let you keep it after all that work, no doubt. I agree with your take on the copper, nice use of an underutilized metal Still think the dark hamon on a bright ji look is a bit odd and takes some getting used to... but guess that is the nature of acid etching. Glad to see these Iwa can handle hard targets without rolling or chipping the edge. +1 for the effort.

It's cool that the blade is holding up to this heavy use. I do have a question though, what happens to this sword when your finished testing it? Does it have to go back?
