OH MY GOD!!!!! omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg... (the rant goes forever on...) I am such a big fan of heroes!!! I NEED to buy that sword!!!! they don't mention anything about it not being sharpened, just handmade and 1060 steel. (the rant now continues) omg omg omg omg omg omg omg....

Yeah, the Global Gear ones look great. I want one... Heroes teh bomb. The end of the first series (finale) showed Hiro in Feudal Japan with Kensai - YES!

The sword appears to be sharp. There are some minor differences between the picture on the top of the page (actual picture from the series) and the pictures of the sword for sale. For instance, the gap between the "godsend" symbol and the wraping on the tsuka is gone on the sword for sale, and the symbol itself is slightly different. But other than that, it seems to be a very good sword. But a little expensive for my budget... Regards,

There is also now a budget version of this sword. $59, and with the same blade (and made at the same forge Musashi Swords uses) as the famous Wind Dragon Katana. A brief write up on it has just been added to SBG here

Looks great I am a fan of the show and would love to own a functional replica and for the price this one looks perfect.

This one from True Swords is much more similar to the one on the series. Global Gears claims theirs has real same on the tsuka, but I don't mind having plastic same if it saves me US$ 300.00! :-) Thanks for the info, Paul, and for making this thread one of the most interesting in the SB Digest.
