Hello all, I'm hoping to get some information about this sword that I aquired recently. I was told it was a Polish Hussar sword, and that's about all that I know about it. The blade is in nice condition, a few small dings, but over all very nice. It's etched with a Polish phrase, which I believe translates to "Honor the Fatherland". It also has "AD" etched into the blade as well. The grip is some sort of black leather material with brass twisted wire wrapped around it.It has a tassle that's pretty beat which has a Polish eagle in red on it. The tassle is made out of wire with a wooden core. The rest you can see in the pictures. It looks field used as there is what appears to be period wear to the piece. I'd appreciate any information that I could get on this sword. Rick

Looks like a Polish 1917 hussar saber----although I am in no way qualified to comment on authenticity. I'm pretty sure that's the model, though. (I do know that the scabbard drag looks different than the replicas I've seen.)
