to me, it also looks a bit dangerous, as it's hard strapped to your arm, if you fell or something, there's no flex or anything like a sword that's just gripped in your hand...Made for just pure killing, not like a sword - er, wait.....

That looks more dangerous to the weilder than to the enemy. I'm pretty familiar with Indian weapons, and have never seen anything like that. Patas and kattars have that transverse grip, but all have reasonable blades..

looks nothing like a katar, looks more like someone idea of a four bladed deccan (I think that is what it is called). Rhinoman: What was the point of raising this thread from such a long death to add no new information? Oh wow, I forgot Hank had posted in this thread, may he rest in peace
