Remember this movie? I loved this movie when I was a kid and have the dvd in my collection, dosnt look as good as I remember (like a lot things from 20+ years ago) but its still worth a watch. I remember looking for this sword about a year or so ago with no success, but I just came across this, pretty cool; dekokatana.deviantart.com/art/St ... -339434582

I was just watching this movie two days ago lol. Haven't seen it in years. I still have never seen any replicas that are accurate to the movie props. But dokokatana's isnt to bad. Check out this video on YouTube: ... ata_playerSent from my iPhone

I learned to stand on my head because of this film.

I'd like to see replicas of Sho's swords. I don't which I'd prefer in a fight against the other. The two short single handed swords or slightly longer two hander.

im working on this sword for a customer, he wants the hidden blade and all, but he wanted the blade to be aluminum like the film... let me get some pictures posted... its an interesting and not very easy swinging sword heres the raw cut parts fresh from the water jet

I just watched this for the first time, and I concur with the general sentiment. Hella cheesy? Yes. Awesome? Also yes,

Pretty cool, would love to see that in carbon steel, wonder if the original design is even functional?

I think functional depends on the user... I can make this with a carbon blade.. Make the handle leather wrapped wood and put a hidden blade in the bottom, but it would be weirdly balanced and a traditional sword form would be hard to use...
