I just got my new DSA Norman and have really no clue how to sharpen it. I know accusharp is a no no but the videos Tom Kinder posted confuse me. I would like to stay away from a belt grinder because I know i'll screw something up with that. I really dont know what to do or what method is the best. I would like to get a pretty decent cutting edge for milk jugs and water bottles etc. www.swordsofvalor.com/swordsharpening.html - - - Is that a good method? Because honestly this DSA sword is really tough and I am not sure how to sharpen it without creating a secondary bevel. I like cutting bottles and things similar so nothing major. Any tips and advice is highly appreciated. Thanks

there are two way. one easy way, and the long way. The first method is the accusharp. the pro are : it is a easy and fast sharpening method. the cons are a secondary bevel on your edge. If it isn't a issue for you go with it. I admit I used it on my first sword the viking oslo by DSA. After the bite of accusharp on your sword you can cut bottles etc...
The second method could be the famous Tom sharpening system with sand paper or wetstone. The diamond sharpening bench stone bites very fast the steel. So if you have enough practice it may help you. The pro is no secondary bevel on your edge and your sword will be more sharp(if you want or need it) the cons it needs more time and practice...
