Just wondering if anyone has tried using Baltimore knife & sword rapiers for sparring? Are they any good? They have some great looking rapiers but from the pictures they look like they have pretty sharp tips. It does say they're blunted for stage combat, but I'm not sure if that's the same thing as safe (flexible enough) to spar with (of course, considering that you'll be putting a rubber blunt tip).
Also, how do they handle in comparison to Hanwei and Darkwood practice rapiers?

I love the BKS rapiers that being said unless you want holes avoid them. I have had at least 4 holes from their rapiers. As for handling & durability, they are lovely. They have historical flex, NO SAFE FLEX. You would have to put a steel cap and then a rubber blunt if you want to use them safely for sparing, they will go through almost anything even blunt. I put one over 1.5” in to a tree with little to no effort, (with proper handling of course, none of that bar-room thrusting).
Over all, I’ve used them (my methods of study uses sharps at times). But do not think they will pass any form of inspection for sparring.
