See, after watching that how much do you think an historically accurate Ulfberht would cost you ? I have to admit I like that style more than the Brazil nut style. It looks more Viking not European..

The inlaying of the letters are likely to add as much expense as the whole rest of the sword. I don't think I've seen anybody offer that anyway. As far as style goes, that would fit my ancestry.

Look up Thor's Forge on Facebook (or email: dyktord@hotmail.com). Thor is a Swedish smith who has done similar inlaying. He's not cheap, his notoriety is on the rise, but he's still relatively affordable as far as custom weaponsmiths go.

Be aware there are two Thor's Forge on Facebook. Thor's Forge with a capital F in Forge makes arts and crafts stuff like you would find in Hobby Lobby. Thor's forge with a small f in forge make our kind of stuff.

Custom Castle Keep Petersen Type A sword! It takes a lot of personal bravery and self-confidence to own and wear something that lightly colored. Keep it away from Bolognese sauce.

It’s a blank canvas for a random splatter pattern. Each victory in holmgang (assuming the rules allow you to wear the scabbard) will add to the design. 😈

Would you guys consider a Hanwei Cawood to be a Viking sword? I know it's transitional, but the width of blade, the hilt, and the pommel strike me as one.
