Hi All Some help required , I am wanting to add some new Chinese type swords to my collection like some new Jians and Dao's . I already have most of the Hanwei's and Dynasty Forge offerings and wanted to try out some new sellers as iv exhausted most of the offerings from KOA . Anyone had any success with any e bay sellers ? If so with whom and what sort of a lead time was there before you received the sword ?Im also open to any other suggestions of other sources . As I said looking to try some new Chinese pieces other than the pieces from Hanwei and Dynasty Forge . Iv never gone the e bay route for swords ,so any e bay sellers would need to be reliable . Any suggestions ?

I haven't heard anything out of them lately, but Jin-Shi had some nice reviews back on the old site. I was more interested in a dao, and most of what I saw from them was jians, so I didn't pay super close attention. Worth a look?

Also Kris Cutlery has some stuff that is not on Kult of Athena. Then there is Sinosword, which I think will custom-make just about anything you can describe to them.

sevenstarstrading.com got my vote. Mr. Scott Rodell is a well known expert in Chinese sword and his Huanuo line is excellent! He also ship internationally... (take a look at the packages deal ; it's much cheaper than to buy each sword individually).

Agreed, Scott Rodell's sevenstarstrading.com has my vote too, he is a Chinese swordsmanship master who knows his Chinese swords and has a huge collection of antique ones, he advises the forge Huanuo to help them refine the designs of the swords they supply him with so they are historically accurate in handling and appearance. He has very high standards in terms of what he sells, he will only sell fully battle-functional, durable, historically accurate pieces. Great service too. That's the place for real functional Chinese swords in my opinion.
