Hi everyone. First post so be gentle I've been collecting Medieval swords for a while, mainly based off the excellent reviews on this site. I've decided it's time to add some Oriental flavour to my collection, and again based on the reviews will probably go down the Cheness path (and the Cold Steel Gim). Anyway, whilst browsing UK based sites to see who stocks Cheness Katana's I've come across a brand called Koto Katana. I'm not sure if they're in the States but they seem to be all over the place over here in the UK and yet, the weird thing is I can't find any info on them as swordsmiths (them as a brand I mean). No official reviews on any sites, hardly any individual posts on forums and no Koto Katana home site, nothing. Can anyone help me out ? I'm really interested in knowing whether they are matt ready/robust as opposed to wall hangers, and how durable they are (who wants a fantastic looking sword that falls apart after a few swings  ). So, any help, please ?

I came close to buying one recently but I chickened out at the last moment (going to save up for a kris cutlery 29A instead ) the blokes over at blades-uk forum speak pretty highly of it and I get the impression that they do the job when it comes to cutting. No one's countered the general vibe that they're good value for money. I have the impression all of their blades perform about the same so just pick one with fittings that suit you.
