Hi all,
Based off Paul's review, I have already purchased the Gen 2 Mainz gladius and am quite pleased with it. I've found very little info on the Pompeii from Gen 2 but am considering it also. Does anyone have any experience with this sword??
Thanks

I'm afraid I haven't handled one, but I have considered buying one for a while. Just had so many others I wanted first. I just rented and watched the whole first season of the HBO series ROME. That really got me interested in one of these. I hope you do a thorough review of that little baby. I'd like to hear all about it.

I have a Gen2 pompeii and it's my favorite, sturdy and a good price, tho I found the leather scabbard pretty much useless. I see they have a better looking one now with a wood core and the guard and pommel on the gladius has been reshaped. I may have to have a Mainz now. lol, always another one.
