Not listed online at all, at MRL's website. Which means it is new or really old.

never seen it, but the blade is similar to their KOH line...which aren't whippy at all.

If I recall correctly, Ancient Edge is a defunct subsidary company of Bugei, the online japanese sword group. The Ancient Edge website has been inactive for several years, I believe.
So, I think that that sword is very old, and long discontinued.

The Schwert has been discontinued for a number of years. JP Franco has one, I believe.

Jp franco has one and according to him, it's a very fine sword, not whippy at all.

I own a SCHWERT and it is a fine sword . I bought it like 8 years ago and would not part with it for anything. The blade is stiff and the sword is well balanced. The scabbard is also wood core covered with leather. Overall a great piece.

That is absolutely beautiful. Are you sure you couldn't be goaded into parting with it?

MRL has not made that sword for at least 3 years.

I didn't expect it to. Realistically, JP, what would you let it go for? PM me if you'd feel more comfortable with that. Makes me wish I'd been old enough to buy these a few years ago. I did some product searches on Google, SFI and even Ebay, but came up with nothing. The owners are not too keen on parting with them.
