I was asked to get a sword for my instructor as part of a celebration for his 40th year of teaching at the club. I ordered this sword through a ebay dealer stores.ebay.ca/The-Unique-Things ... 4340.l2563 . The sword was over 8 weeks late in arrival after sending the wrong sword the fist time. The ebay seller was great to work with but I think he was let down by JKOO with quality control and delivery time and is no longer working with them on Canadian orders. I wanted to get a sword with a level of ceremony/bling to the fittings to make it an appropriate presentation piece and chose the Liu Guang Jian. The sword arrived in the usual yellow tape packaging. A nice presentation box and cloth sword bag was included. Unfortunately some of the fittings on the scabbard were loose and there was a slight bit of damage to the tip. Other than that the sword is quite beautiful and despite a long blade length and overall heavy weight it had great balance, moved very well and the edge was very sharp, one of the best I have seen. The pattern in the folding and the subtle hamond lines were beautiful to look at. I enjoyed these pics thanks for posting them. It is sort of hard to tell from the two pics of the blade but from that angle I'm not seeing any hamon. Was this one differentialy hardened? The folding pattern on the steel looks very nice, I'm sure your instructor will be pleased with this gift, well done! So this eBay seller sent the wrong sword at first, or was the wrong sword sent to you by jkoo (sinoswords.com) on behalf of the eBay seller? Although jkoo is definitely slow as hell to ship anything, it sounds like maybe the eBay guy is blaming them for his own incompetence if he initially sent you some other sword by mistake. This is why I ask if he was having the sword drop-shipped by them. If time becomes available later, a picture that includes more of the blade or the entire blade would be appreciated.

I am not in possession of the sword anymore I only stole a few quick shots before it was presented. The swords were shipped directly from jkoo to me. I am not sure where the mix up happened.

it looks like a fine sword, the color of the wood on the handle looks different from the scabbard though! I'm not sure how JKOO swords cut but since it's a very nice presentation piece and looks well-made!
