Hi everyone, I am very new to this forum or any forum really (this being the first i have joined) i must admit i am not solely a sword enthusiast i love all things historical, mostly medieval and ancient. I have been wanting to buy a Kriegschwert for some time now, however with it's sharpened blade it would not only be illegal for me to purchase and own, it would also be of no use to me other than to mount it in my house and appreciate it's beautiful design. So here is my question. is it possible for me to order a custom Kriegschwert with a 2mm edge and a tip no sharper than an Australian 5c coin? which i believe is the same size as an American Dime.

You cannot have a sharp sword where you live in Australia (just guessing from there from your post)?
If so, would look at swords made blunt instead. Del Tin might be an option if you want a historical looking sword. The Kriegschwert is not very historical looking but a nice sword. Are you looking for a blunt training sword?

Kell - Which state are you from? As far as I'm aware there is no such regulations about importing a sharp sword. The only state that requires a simple weapons permit is VIC and even there you can import sharp blades.

Luka , cool thanks i'll look into that. I think read somewhere he is on these forums is there a way to contact him here?
William Swiger, Thanks for the suggestion, i'll be checking out their website after i have typed this, Is it not historical looking? =( i thought it looked ok for late 14th-mid 15th cent German. i finding it hard to find good material on medieval Germany/ Prussia. I was with a Medieval Reenacting group that has pretty much died (only ones going now is the guy who killed it n his family) although i am hoping to join another group by mid this year. so yeah looking for blunt hand and a half/ two hand sword to train in Hans Talhoffer techniques.
Vue, Yep i am from Victoria, not sure if i can afford a permit, but i am not really interested in getting one at the moment, One day i would like to build my own home with a room for display weapons and armor, but at the moment i have to be economical and have pretty swords that i can also use in training.
Thanks heaps i appreciate you help =D

You can call him, which is the best way to get a hold of him, and for me he wanted to talk in person if it's a custom order. VA's official Custom Sword Shoppe is at custom-sword-shoppe.com/His phone number and email are listed there. Using this forum probably wouldn't be the fastest way to contact Valiant Armoury.
