Any good repros of 1840 Hvy Cav Sabres; MRL's?

Hello all,
Does anyone know if there are any really good repros/copies of the U.S.1840 Hvy Cav Sabres out there? What about MRL's?Anyone have any experience with it? Is it true Cold Steel's "1860 Hvy Cav Sabre" is actually a copy of the 1840 Hvy Cav Sabre? Just curious but that is what I heard.
I have Windless/MRL's U.S. 1860 Lt Cav Sabre and love it. I have had it for some years and much practiced with it, much handling, tapping pells and tires, etc, and is still just as tight as when I bought it several years ago, for $98 bucks no less! So I was figuring their 1840 Hvy Cav Sabre would be just as well made. But I wonder about it's weight, handling charactoristics, balance, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
