Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum as you can probably tell. Anyhow i have a question about the paul chen antiqued bastard sword. I found a thread from this forum that was posted last year about a failure of the swords pommel do to being hollow. I was just about to buy this sword when i came across the thread. However i heard that this sword was updated with a solid pommel to fix the weak point. Has anyone tried one of these updated versions ( i think the more experienced sword crowd calls them 2nd gen but not sure) heres a link to a place that talks about the update down at the bottom. therionarms.com/reenact/therionarms_c959.html thanks for any input.

The NEXT batch will have the solid pommels so none of the distrubutors has any of those yet I believe.

swordsalot,
We've gotten a run of the solid pommel version, it was one of the production models that I took apart and posted pictures of here: /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=1174255940&page=4#1196175287
We are currently sold out, but check with your vendor on what version they have available.
