Well if its a pretty little thing a ma bob then you can probably get a few bucks off it. But I honestly doubt stainless steel swords can go up in value, unless its been used in a movie or something like that. If you can't find it it probably means it ain't worth much. Most stainless steels swords urg I hate typing that out or SLO for short, are pretty much something to look pretty on your wall. And the SBG has a truckload of resources on steels and such. But since your new here I'll tell you this because I know 99.999999999999999999% of the people here will agree on this. Stainless steel is no good for a sword. If you swing around with it too much, it'll break faster than the time it took to get to you.

SLO.Sword like object.Leave it on the wall if you like the looks of it,its no good or much else.It will not go up in value at all, most real, modern swords dont appreciate in value. And welcome to the forum.

Swords as investments are not swords that will cost less than thousands of dollars. Though I don't doubt a few forumites here have a blade or two in the back of their collection that might appreciate in value, they are both extremely rare and extremely expensive. If your sole aspiration is to have something hanging on your wall that draws some curious spectators from time to time, you can stick with the sword like objects. However, if you intend to do any swinging or cutting, or if you expect to sell it to anyone other than a naive 15 year old, stay away from the stainless. Check out the SBG Find a Sword System on the main site. That's where I started. I learned everything I needed to know to not get ripped off, and of course, as everyone on this forum will second, I am now addicted, infatuated, and completely insane for swords. So, if you want to venture down that "slippery slope," as the esteemed Brother Southren dubbed it, be our guest! And we will be here to answer any questions you may come away with. Just remember to be careful with those stainless blades. They can be very dangerous.
