I need help Identifying a sword I have. I got it from a past girlfriends grandmother. Her brother traveled to Spain around the 1970's and brought it home. The only marking on it says "Toledo Spain". Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have looked on the net but have not found a match. Also what would it be worth?

I'm not sure, but I think it's one of their version of Carlos V sword. Google "Carlos V sword Toledo Spain" and you will see several versions. You will also get a view of their prices.

If I am not mistaken, that particular sword is worth about $100 or so. Does the pommel unscrew and is the tang threaded? I would be willing to bet so. My best guess is that model is just a wall hanger that most likely overpriced for tourists. Please don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful ornament that sounds like it has a good history. But I do not believe it is functional.
