I have a saya for my old sword that I would like to repaint. I would like to do it in gloss black, and had considered brush painting it, but don't want the brush marks on it. Would gloss black spray paint be durable enough for the finish, or do I need to stay with brushing? If I brush, what technique could i use to smooth and polish the finish? Thanks for the help...

I answered this elsewhere recently I believe, gloss automotive spray paint (pressure pack) will do the trick, use light coats, read the directions, use clear coat for that "deeP" shine, polish off with fine auto polish when fully set.
