hey guys, quck question about selling swords. say I'm in no real hurry to sell, but I don't want it to take forever either, is there some percentage of the original price it is acceptable to start at? if I am willing to take a bit of a loss, but I already paid customs and shipping from overseas, would that be factored in? just looking for some advice.

Well - if you want to get some of the customs/tax money back, you could advertise the sword for sale in your own country as they would have to pay that as well.
As far as price, it is normal to start higher and put you will consider best offers. Things to consider is it a popular sword and if it has been used or is in new condition.
If I bought the sword from an individual and am the second or more owner, I sell them for much less. Usually, modern production swords will not hold their value unless the company raises prices after you bought it and then you could sell it to recoup most of your original purchase price if in new condition.
If you say - bought an expensive hot tub or really expensive Middle East rug, you might sell swords at great prices.
