Hello mysticdx,
The VA54-020 is still the same as when I bought the company. I will however tell you that it is certainly one of the first in line to be updated along with The War Sword 54-079 (This should please Mr. Tsafa) : ) Lion Heart 54-046 and the Agincourt 54-085. I have been discussing the plans for revisions with Angus Trim somewhat though nothing is final yet. I believe the final outcome for these swords will be looked upon with greater appreciation.
Thanks,
Sonny Suttles Valiant Armoury Swords

Sonny, I hope the tangs will be beefed up on the standard VA line in future versions. That's been the sticking point for me. I've always loved the look of the Dagesse and the Crusader, but they apparently have quite skinny tangs with even skinnier threading on the end. Btw, I didn't notice you were with us til this post. Thanks for joining us. ![8-)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

I love the dagesse to but unfortunately all the things I have heard and read about VA make me cautious, no offense to you Sonny. If you do improve the tang and things it would be a sword that would definitely be on my list ![:)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

By the way,
Eventually all of the old Valiant Line will be either reworked and updated or just simply retired. My one and only goal is to improve the quality of Valiant Armoury. This of course will take time and cost money, but in the end I believe it will be worth it.

That is indeed a substantial difference.
Mr. Suttles, I wonder if you've seen the threads regarding Valiant Armoury's new line of Katanas and other Asian swords in the Japanese Swords sections? It'd be grand if you could share your thoughts there, as well.

Amazing, finally your swords will be built for strength and purpose but still have the aesthetic qualities that make them such wonderful pieces. It is fantastic to see manufacturers making these changes. I look forward to the dagesse getting a make over.

Yes me too. I have to say The Dagesse is one of my favorite swords. So much so I am considering asking Christian Fletcher to do a signature version of it. But that for down the road. I haven't even talked to him about it yet. Maybe at the Shot Show next month in Vegas the subject will come up with him. ;D

Another one? I'm already poor as it is. ![:(](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I'm really looking forward to the Signature line, though. Seems it's progressing well.

thank you sonny for the info. i also look forward to the dao sword as well
i like what the bastard sword is because it has a almost 2 handed handle and its under 28 inch blade. to me that is a ideal medieval sword. i like a long sword as long as its not over 33 inchs blade.
