Speaking of qamas, in the HBO series Rome, one of the characters got sent to the arena. They gave him what appeared to me to be a qama. The series took a lot of liberties with history, but I enjoyed it immencely. Got me hooked on gladii.

Remember boys, it's not the size that matters, but the skill in the thrust.
Innuendo aside, they served their purpose, obviously, or they'd have...well, not existed. Nothing wrong with a good short sword, if you're into that. Myself, I'm waiting to see what Strongblade will be wanting for their tempered Warspike.

yeah , but it takes a long time to get to england in a row boat ha ha ha an way yeah it's size and shap made it very effective and it was kinda a back up any way

same here but i might just go with the crusader sword its like a bsic design 40in already temper and only like 104$ and i think we get a discount right?
