Hello everybody, new to the forum; great to be here.
I know there are copious amounts of online sellers whom sell a good product at a good price although as with most production items there are lemons. I feel like if it could have a chance to hold a sword before I buy it I could choose the right one for me; I have only purchased online and every one has been at least slightly disappointing in some way.
I was hoping that members could provide me with locations of sellers that have a store front. I'm from the mid Missouri area so lets keep it to the local citys and the surrounding states: Kansas City, Springfield, St. Louis, Chicago, ETC.
There is a good chance I am visiting Chicago in a few months, anything there other than Kult of Athena?
I'm very specific on what I am looking for in my collection, so lets keep it to resellers of katana.
Feel free to throw in some tourist traps that one might visit some day.
Thanks in advance everybody!

not sure if there's anything besides KOA when you visit- but I bet you won't need to go anywhere else! I have read many posts of people 'losing time' at KOA- plenty to see and wield!

Chicago is a good city to just wander and explore. If you have not experienced it yet, keep you eyeballs to the skyline as you approach, the sears tower is pretty breathtaking when you can first spot it and as it grow while you are travelling closer. There is some good deep dish pizza pies there too!

Thanks! I love Chicago, live only a few hours away so I've been there several times. Have even thought about moving there...if I could find the right job!
Anybody know of anything in Missouri?

Because of its immense inventory and items from so many companies, I'd say KoA is pretty much the go-to shop. The staff there are very friendly and the shop is easy to get lost in. Just leave your wallet in the car until you're sure of what you want to buy

KoA's new showroom won't be open for at least another couple of months, so you'll have to keep that in mind. They've been closed a while and were supposed to reopen around the first of the year, but I just e-mailed them about it and that's what they told me. Not sure what the holdup is, but I bet the wait will be worth it because they are indeed a great place to visit and I bet the new location will be ever better.
