The AT 1319 is my first modern sharp sword. I believe it is a Type XIIa. So far one milk jug has perished, with more to come after some snow melts (which may mean March!). I am thrilled with this sword and would carry it around the house if I didn't have little ones to worry about! I have yet to take measurements, but for now here are some less than stellar indoor evening photos. I will also try to add some more commentary when it is no longer Friday night. ;D

Yup, that's a long legged XIIa. Gus had something like twelve XIIa models when he was doing these.
Back in the olden days, forumite Joel Whitmore used to go terrorizing saplings with an earlier Gus XIIa (1313? but before the model numbers and during the Albion era).
Gus was getting pretty well schooled by the time he was cutting and grinding these out. I imagine yours is bbordering on scary sharp as well.
Cheers
Hotspur; good find on the secondary market

Thanks, Glen. I am not sure if it scary sharp, but it had no trouble with the milk jug! It took remarkably little effort to cut the jug. Good fun! Your 1319 was my favorite cutter at Manville and I am pleased to now have my own. ![8-)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

i think Gus wrote somewhere that the longswords from his recent sale wont be ready until late february / early march... so i've still got some waiting to do.
but hey, at least by then it might be warm enough for us northerners to play with swords outside again!

That's a real beauty you have there Jonathan. Glad you found it before I did or it'd be mine instead. ![;)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I predict you are gonna love that sword even more after you spend a long afternoon cutting with it.
