I like the brenno forge version the best. heh heh, what? It's easiest to picture a stereotypical scotsman cackling away with brenno's.

No idea brenno, but I agree with Hobo - you're beats them all.
I don't think it's stainless steel though. Everything I've heard about it says it's fully functional...This is the first time I've ever heard any accusation of that sort.

I agree, Brenno's made the best one I've seen. I'd pay $4-500 for him to make me one. But 1) I don't have $4-500 to give him right now and 2) he'd probably want more for it.

I think that Del Tin uses "chrome vanadium" for all their swords--it is their buzz word I guess. It is not stainless steel, though.

isnt chrome vanadium just something they electro-plate on to make it stainless or is the blade fully C.V. all the way through. I have some old wrenches that say C.V. on them but the plating has chipped away leaving whatever metal underneath to rust. not that you'd want that coating to be coming off your blade either, but for arguments sake......

oh yeah that's true, kinda like how windlass coats their blades with some sort of chrome. However, brenno's quote suggests the whole blade is made of the stuff and no doubt brenno copied and pasted the exact quote from del tin.

Yeah that is a quote from the listing on filmswords. And yeah, That sword took me about 25 hrs to make, so I won't be doing a run any time soon, lol.

Won't be long before you're churning 'em out that much faster, Brenno. You might be mass producing sooner than you think. There was a thread somewhere about what all the machinery and facilities for sword making cost...I forget where it was and what the numbers were...but who knows, maybe you could get started, eh? ;D
