Weaponedge and Universal Swords ( Competeing Chouhan Brother operations in Johdpur India make both 96s ). You can see both in my collection pages. Think I had a partial review on the old site. Fit and finish is nice but the taper is off and the sword handles slo.

sbgswordforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=swordreviews&thread=14505&page=1#244117The Blade: A straight blade with fuller run out to 8 inches below the tip of the sword. Straight backed with about 7 inches of back edge. The temper and grind on the blade is acceptable. The blade to hilt ratio, as presented here, makes an efficient sword a very awkward and unfriendly sword. The Handle: The handle length is only 3.5 inches. This is ridiculous. The sword is an unmanageable club with this sort of handle. Visually the hilt is historically correct.

I like that big straight blade. Is there anything in particular that that design was referred to as?

I've recently seen a saber blade married with Austrian 1775 hilt. Very interesting thing but it was in desperate need of restoration. After that I heard the owner of that sword died suddenly. He had a huge collection of military sabers, swords, daggers...
