I think suvurov did a review here, too. Recently, at that. Check the Reviews section.
Okay, so not as recently as I'd thought. Way back on the fifth page, toward the bottom. Here it is: /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=1189632095
I remember seeing ShooterMike's; the pommel on his had apparently just given up at some point and dropped off. Not preetty. I think Cold Steel may have addressed that issue somewhat, though...

ok ive already read that stuff but thanks anyways so Ah, roger that; just making sure, couldn't recall you mentioning yea or nay to seeing the reviews here, the manner in which you posted suggested you'd found nothing at all. I can't personally answer this, but I'll go with "no" tentatively. Cutting is more in the skill of the cutter than the sword itself. Besides, Cold Steel seems to like their swords ridiculously sharp, so I'm sure it'll cut bottles.

I recall reading a review at some point about that Grosse Messer breaking during some tests. It was very early on when this forum just opened. I'm pretty sure it was Rammstine that posted the link to some other site. Maybe Ram can remember.

The Blade shop is always a good place to check for Cold Steel. I've bought several things from them, never a problem. Good packaging and quick shipping.

I learned something very interesting in a WMA after practice discussion today about grosse messer. The reason for its use is that in certain parts of the Holy Roman Empire it was illegal for common people to carry a sword. So they carried what they could pass off as a "big knife". It could not have been too big or else they would have had problems with the law.
I also learned that a falchion was given to archers and other peasants who had little or no training is swordmanship. It was not a knightly weapon, but some knights did come to like it and use it.

I looked at the My Amory review again. The one thing that makes me uneasy is way the pommol is attached. You have to be careful on a pommol like that about not using if for leverage when striking. Hold the handle which looks seriously strong. It may not even be a true pommol, just an endcap. The handle looks like it has enough mass and the blade is short, so it does not need a counter weight.
I don't know what the listed price is, I think its worth up to $180.
