www.mambri.com/CosasArmillum/hispaniensis.htmlNot a lot of spotlight on this sword, but it looks pretty good. They say the tang is peened to the pommel and the blade is made of carbon steel. Has anyone owned this sword? Also is there any knowledge as to whether or not this sword has been heat treated/tempered?

It doesn't look too bad. A different shaped pommel and guard to what we normally see..but still historically possible. I see that they say it's not edged - I guess it's intended mainly for the re-enactment market, or display. If so - I'd *guess* it's possibly not hardened or tempered, or at least not to a high standard. It'd be interesting to hear from anyone who has one

Nice-looking sword. Did you already try sending them an email to ask if it has been heat treated?

I have sent them an email actually, unfortunately, no response as of yet. I'm big on gladiuses and when I saw this little hidden gem I was shocked.

To me this lookes very much like a Deepeeka. There is something in that scabbard, the way the copper furniture is done, that makes me think so. This outfit: www.celticwebmerchant.com/has a lot of Deepeeka Gladii. If you find it there it might be a lot cheaper. Cheers, Ulahn.
